Earnhardt won back-to-back titles on three separate occasions: 1986-87, 1990-91, and 1993-94. The Intimidator is the only driver to win three separate back-to-back titles in NASCAR history.

58: The number of Speedway Poles (58) won by David Pearson during his legendary career. This number is a Sprint Cup Series record and a full ten more than Bill Elliot, who holds the #2 position on the list.

673: The number of laps raced (6.73) in thousands by Cotton Owens during the 1959 season. The season ended with a number of career highs recorded by Owens; he started in 37 races, completed 6,733 laps, earned $14,639, and finished the season ranked second despite having five fewer starts than the champion, Lee Petty.

986: The number of top ten finishes (986) recorded by Hendrick Motorsports entering the 2007 season. Between 1984 and 2006, drivers representing Hendrick started in 2,243 races, finishing in the top ten almost 44% of all races started.
