Thanks for asking.

I am about to start on editing and annotating a set of letters by one of Custer's staff officers who was killed at Front Royal during Sheridan's 1864 Valley Campaign. The letters are terrific.

Mr. Wittenberg: what about the Protecting the Flanks at Gettysburg  re-release? Will that be this year?

I surely hope so, but you will have to ask Ted that question. He's had everything for months, but life has intervened and prevented its timely release.

Thanks for checking. Protecting the Flank at Gettysburg will be released this summer. The new edition has many improvements, most importantly, a 6,500 word essay addressing the true purpose of J.E.B. Stuart's presence on East Cavalry Field on July 3, 1863. Not to be missed!
