What do YOU want for visiting our forum?
« on: April 17, 2012, 12:31:33 PM »
Our SB forum is off to a great start. Soon we'll be announcing it in our newsletter, sending out a press release with the info, and increasing our member list.

We'll be creating a special offer for all of our current and new members. Question is, what do you want for registering? Please let us know your thoughts!

Hmm, there are a lot of things I would like to have. I would probably choose a free book, signed by my favorite author. I wouldn't mind having a signed copy of Unholy Sabbath on my bookshelf!

Sarah, how about a signed, slip cased, numbered copy of the "Gettysburg Campaign Encyclopedia".  Just spell my name right when you send it.

By the way, what's the latest on this.

Keep up the good work!

Charlie: I think I heard those were banned recently, no matter who its of!  ;)

I want a book signed by the author that's not available personally signed normally. THAT would be a collector's item.

Thanks for the thoughts, all.

Denny, The Gettysburg Campaign Encyclopedia is a monumental work in progress, as you can imagine. If you haven't seen it already, here's our webpage dedicated to the project: http://www.savasbeatie.com/books/GBURG_ENCY.htm

The release date and price are TBD.

Wow, no posts on the forum for the last 5 or 6 days, if I checked right.  Someone needs to step up and say something very deep and intellectual.  Of course that wouldn't be me, but I'm sure there are plenty of scholars here to take up the challenge.

Sorry for the delay in response, Denny! Any particular topic of conversation on your mind?  :)

Lindy, I was just curious as to where everyone had gone.  I'm sitting here chomping at the bit for the new Maps of Antietam, and the ebook.  What went on with the Gunny's visit.  Had everyone met him before?  Thanks for the photo.

Another quiet weekend on the board.  I hope everyone had a pleasant  Memorial Day, with a lot of reflection, for all the sacrifices of our fallen veterans.
Welcome back to work to Ted and his "Angels".  Now that I've said that, get to work, and pour out some more titles.

Take care, it's a jungle out there!

Denny,

Gunny's visit was very nice. He mingled with guests as everyone was arriving and then he spoke and signed books afterwards. He is such a great speaker. I had met him before at the event he did last year, but Yvette and Mona got to meet him for the first time!
