I had the pleasure of publishing Dwight Hughes' latest book on the USS Monitor and the CSS Virginia (see below) and meeting him in Virginia last month.
Lieutenant Commander Hughes graduated from the Naval Academy in 1967 and served twenty years aboard warships, on navy staffs, and with river forces in Vietnam. The man knows of what he writes.
