Aside from the Official Records volumes, the Papers 2-volume set (totaling 1,110 pages), is the most important primary source collection ever published on the Chancellorsville Campaign.

This atlas includes the hand drawings, maps, and other related topographical creations found in the archival sources and virtually inaccessible to almost all readers. It also includes the color reproduction of all of the Bigelow maps and drawings found in his original magisterial study.

Chris Bryan earned a B.S. in History from the United States Naval Academy, an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis, and a Masters in Historic Preservation from the University of Maryland, College Park. The former naval aviator works as a project manager and lives in southern Maryland with his wife and two children. He is the author of "Cedar Mountain to Antietam: A Civil War Campaign History of the Union XII Corps, July – September 1862" (2022)
